Who we are

Beau Long, who along with his wife Crystal owns MB Long Construction, has been in the construction industry for most of his life. His father Mikel was a builder in the Wilmington area, as were his brothers, and building was the family business. When Beau and Crystal, an Ohio native who moved to North Carolina at the age of 15, decided to start their own company in 2006, they primarily focused on framing. But in 2018, they took a big step forward and branched out to ground-up construction.

What we do

In addition to purchasing property, developing, building and selling homes, they’re now beginning to take on custom-builds, where clients bring their own plans to the table and Beau and Crystal help make those dreams a reality. It’s a logical progression for their own family business, which now includes their son Mikel, who is considering going to college to study Engineering and Construction so that he can come back and be even more involved in the company. Daughter Hailey will be starting high school next Fall. When the family is not working, they enjoy going to the beach, fishing and visiting the rural property they own.
